Taos, New Mexico has always been a sacred place for me. I return from that Holy Ground with a creatively transformed soul and sense of spiritual renewal.
This is the Saint Francis of Assisi Mission in Ranchos de Taos. A place where light and shadow are sharpely defined and demand your awareness.
It is probably the most photographed and painted mission of all time.
Georgia O'Keefe described it as "one of the most beautiful buildings left in the United States by the early Spaniards".
