This piece was shown at the Bath House Cultural Center, Dallas, TX.

I dreamed him. He felt like an old priest from another time who had a very difficult, but spiritually rewarding life. I heard him say,

"Listen to me, don't ever give up. The struggles, joy and suffering, it's all worth it. Everything makes sense now. I'm grateful for all of it."

The dark and gray colors in the painting represent the struggles and sorrow that he experienced. The colorful and very old frame show the transformation and wisdom that he gained at the end of his life.
